Management Team

Incendonet’s executive management team has extensive leadership, expertise, and experience in speech recognition, telephony, and enterprise software development, with a proven track record in combining technology innovation and successful business management processes.
 
Bryan Ayers - President & CTO
Bryan brings to Incendonet over 15 years of successful software development and management experience working in the speech technology, telecommunications, and defense sectors. Bryan has a consistent record of quality throughout the development cycle from design through deployment, and has extensive experience in systems architecture and standards based communication protocols.

Bryan has led several successful development teams for early stage start ups and established companies.  While at One Voice Technologies, he designed and led development of the Telco-grade Mobile Voice speech system. At Motiva he led and contributed to the development efforts for the first three generations of its eChange Solutions product line and the multiple n-tiered, distributed, scaleable, web enabled platform on which it ran. At E-systems, Bryan designed and led development of surveying tools and real-time embedded software for high-speed data communications and RF spectrum search products with proprietary digital signal processing algorithms.

Bryan is the founder of Incendonet and started the company in December of 2003.  His vision drives the overall technical direction of the company and its future development efforts.

Bryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Minor in Mathematics from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Tim Kruse - Vice President Business Development, Sales
Tim brings a successful track record of developing new markets, introducing new technologies and building highly profitable and repeatable revenue streams. He has continually been successful in developing long-term partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and growing revenues for both emerging markets and geographic territories.  He has held several sales and sales management positions, most recently with ITW Corporation, a Fortune 200 company with annual revenues of over $12 Billion.

Tim has significant industry experience and was the driving force behind the largest deployment of Voice Technology to the masses. While serving as the Director of Business Development for One Voice Technologies, Inc, he executed a partnership with AOL/Time Warner to enable movie watchers to interact with movie related content using pre-defined voice commands for “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” and “Scooby-Doo”.  This technology was distributed on over 48 million voice-enabled DVD’s in seven different languages worldwide via Warner Bros Home Video.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas with an emphasis in Marketing in addition to a minor in History.

Ken King – Chief Financial Officer
Ken King established a financial consulting practice in San Diego in 1998 and has served as the CFO for Compliance Coach and Aperio Technologies. Ken specializes in strategic planning, economic analysis, and financial administration for high-tech companies.

Formerly, he directed Allied Signal International’s strategic planning and financial administration. This $3 Billion subsidiary with a $10 million annual operating budget had offices and operations through out the world, which Ken helped establish.  Ken was also responsible for mergers and acquisitions in other positions during his Allied Signal tenure.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration from Stanford University.

Dr. Martha Dennis – Principal, Gordian Knot
Dr. Martha Dennis was a Venture Partner with Windward Ventures from 2002 to 2006.  Previously Dr. Dennis was President and CEO of WaveWare Communications, Incorporated, which she co-founded in April 1997; WaveWare sold software for wireless handheld connectivity. Formerly Dr. Dennis was co-founder and Vice President of Engineering of Pacific Communications Sciences, Incorporated, a San Diego based developer of wireless communications equipment founded in 1987 and sold to Cirrus Logic in 1993.  Previous to this Dr. Dennis was Assistant Vice President at Linkabit Corporation. She serves on the boards and advisory boards of several entrepreneurial ventures and is Chairman of the Board of Netsapiens, Inc.

Dr. Dennis chairs the City of San Diego Science and Technology Commission and is President of the Board of the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center.  She is immediate Past President of the San Diego Telecom Council board (now “Commnexus”) and a trustee of Harvey Mudd College. She is currently on advisory boards of the UCSD Rady School of Management. Dr. Dennis holds a doctorate from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from Smith College.

Gary Hegna – CEO, Airwave Wireless, Inc.
A seasoned executive with more than three decades of far-reaching business experience, Gary Hegna was named President and CEO of AirWave in July 2003. Prior to joining the company, Gary served as President & CEO of Appliant.com.  Previously he served as Chairman and CEO of Ecometry Corporation, a manufacturer of catalog management and e-Commerce software which he led through a NASDAQ public offering, and as Chairman, President, and CEO of Dallas-based OpenConnect Systems. Gary is a veteran of the high tech industry serving in top roles for Fujitsu/ICL North America, Xerox Corporation and Data General.

Jack Jeanes – CEO, JBISoft, Inc.
Jack Jeanes is the founder and CEO of JBISoft Inc., a software development and services company specializing in providing cost effective, stable, and future-vision solutions to intelligence and e-commerce networking and processing needs. Prior to JBISoft, Jack was VP of Special Programs at BTG/Titan and E-Systems Inc., bringing in tens of millions of dollars in revenue annually in each position.  Jack's reputation for delivering quality products and services in a timely manner is highly regarded within the Homeland Security, Intelligence, and Defense communities.

Erik Miller - Former CFO, BlueArc; Cofounder Snap! Server
Erik brings more then 21 years of senior financial management of technology companies, most recently as CFO of BlueArc. He was one of the founders of the Snap! Server, which is the most successful offering in mid-range NAS (Network attached storage). Eric also successfully completed Nasdaq IPO's of Parallan Computer (1993) and Meridian Data, Inc. (1996). His efforts have raised over 80M in private venture equity from US and European sources. Erik is a graduate of UC Berkeley, BS in Business Administration.

Mark Steele - VP, Worldwide OEM, Motorola Enterprise Mobility;
Director CommNexus San Diego
Mark Steele is Vice President, Worldwide OEM for Motorola Enterprise Mobility (formerly Symbol Technologies, Inc.) He is responsible for providing Motorola technology to OEM customers around the world. These technologies include data capture, wireless, mobile computing, RFID and other emerging technologies that enable OEMs to develop leading-edge Enterprise Mobility solutions. Mark has 25 years of computing and communications industry experience including IBM, Qualcomm, Gateway, PCSI and Airprime.

Mark is a Director of CommNexus San Diego (formerly the San Diego Telecom Council), a telecommunications industry non-profit group that includes over 125 of Southern California’s leading companies, over 3,000 active volunteers and more than 30 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that range from Emerging Wireless to Satellite to Broadband.
